This policy explains what Time Capsule (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. We built Time Capsule to keep your private messages to your future self private. We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
Time Capsule is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If you never sign in and never use cloud backup, your capsules stay entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
We do not use your capsule content for advertising, profiling, or training any model.
We share data only with service providers that operate the app for us, and only as needed:

Cloud-backed capsules and your account are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Local capsules remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Gift and couples capsule records persist so the recipient can open them on the unlock date.
Cloud data is protected by Firebase security rules so that only the owning account can read or write its capsules. Gift and couples capsules are reachable only through long, unguessable identifiers. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
